Vers draws on the sounds and rhythms of jungle and dark ambient to create melodically minimalistic and rhythmically dense instrumental music and soundscapes which shy from traditional instrumentation and form. Vers embraces the visceral sound of digital distortion and thrives on the manipulation of everyday sounds.
Brian was born in Utica, NY in 1978. He started on the Clarinet and piano in middleschool, but being heavily influenced by rock music he soon changed it up to guitar and bass. He started writing rock music on guitar and playing bass in a band with his highschool friends. After a bad experience recording their first album in a local studio Brian decided he could do a better job and bought a four-track. After that, it was history. Brian recorded everything and everyone. After recording his band with great results, other bands started coming to him to record their music. Six years and hundreds of songs later Brian decided to come to Lowell to study Sound Recording at UML.

Once in Lowell, Brian found his niche. Having bounced around from computer programing to electronics to engineering at a local community college in Utica, Brian was a perfect candidate for creating electronic music. Armed with Cakewalk, an MPC 2000 and studying bass as his primary instrument Brian started to incorporate jazz, classical, and rock into his solo electronic compositions. With a ton a friends making music in New York and Massechusetts, Brian started an independent record label called Dysgenic Records and began releasing albums from all of these bands and electronic musicians. Brian mastered over 30 albums released on Dysgenic as well as performed and composed on over 10 of the Dysgenic releases. His first solo album "Low light, Slow film, and Alchohol" was released in 2003. His second solo album "Amore Proximi" was released a year later.

Brian made lots of connections and musical partnerships through UMASS Lowell and his record label which resulted in many side projects and bands. One of these was a collaboration with rapper, drummer, producer Gabriel Cruser. Gabe loved Brians electronic music and practically begged to rhyme on one of his tracks. After a fun and successful session the two knew they had a unique understanding of eachother and music. They started colaborating more and more and created an albums worth of material together (never released).

It wasn't until 3 years later, however, that the two decided to form a band together. Being in their mid-twenties and having been through many different band formulas they knew they could do it right. Brian had the idea to write songs with melodic lyrics and electronic production that would be able to be remixed many times over. The group would be called Skittish-Voluptuous and they went on to audition girl singers to bring the songs to the stage.
